    Unit 14 : WONDERS OF THE WORLD
    Lesson 1: - GETTING STARTED
    - LISTEN AND READ
    Objectives
    Presenting the topic.
    Helping students get information about some wonders of the world and a language game.
    Content
    - The names of some wonders of the world
    - Wh- questions + to V
    Prepare
    * Material
    - Projector, computer, hand-outs, markers.
    * Work arrangement
    - Individual, pairwork and groupwork.
    *Anticipated problems:
    - Students’ knowledge about wonders is limited.
    - Students are reserved and can get some diffculties in pronunciation.

    - Have you ever visited the famous places in the world? Today, you and I are going to visit some of them through our lesson. Firstly, I have an interesting game for you. Its name is shark attack.
    - T presents the rule.
    - Will you guess letter by letter or the full word.?
    - How many letters does this word have?
    - How many wrong predictions do you only have to rescue the girl?
    - T gives a clue.
    - This word is used to show famous places in the world. What is it?
    - Meaning in Vietnamese?
    - Now, who is the first?.
    - T controls .
    - Who can read it? ( wonders)
    - Meaning in Vietnamese?

    So today we are going to learn unit 14: Wonders of the world.
    - Now, open the books.


    - Look at this.
    - How many pictures are there?
    - How many names of the wonders?
    - Now you match each picture with its name.

    - Now you work in pairs and do the same in one minute.
    - Start!
    - T monitors .
    - T gets feedback
    - T models and asks ss to read in chorus.
    They are 5 wonders in the world. Nga, Hoa and Nhi are talking about a game about these places. Firstly, We are going to study some vocabulary.
    T elicits the new words
    - Look at the picture. What is this?
    - Come on , what is this?

    - Do you know “ ý” in English



    Set the scene: We are going to turn back with Hoa, Nga and Nhi. They are talking about a game.
    - Now, you close your books and listen to answer the questions.
    - T runs through.



    - Checking meaning.


    - T gets feedback

    - Now, Open your books , listen again and check.
    - T corrects.

    - Listen again and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation
    - T asks some ss to read and teacher corrects their pronunciation.

    - Is “how” a question word ?
    - What is the form of “play”?
    _ T gives an other example and do the same.
    - After a question word is “to infinitive”



    - T presents intonation of the model sentence.

    - I divide you into 4 groups. You work in group and complete the summary in 3 minutes.( give 2 marks for the group which finishes firstly).
